Thank you! You have sponsored Ana from Brazil.
This is the initial child photo and history you received when you sponsored your child. You will receive an updated photo and information directly from the child's community each year. Ana Julia Santos lives with her parents and 1 brother. Her parents struggle to provide for the family. Her father is a policeman. Despite their efforts it is difficult to meet the family's needs. Ana Julia Santos is growing up in a rural Brazilian community where homes are constructed of brick and concrete. Most housing has no sewage or piped water. Families eat rice, beans, bread, macaroni, seasonal fruit and potatoes. Coffee is a popular drink. The beautiful terrain is mountainous, with a moderate climate where temperatures range between 65 and 90 degrees. Ana Julia Santos is not in school at this time. She likes to play house. She helps at home by learning to do small tasks. She is in satisfactory health.
Your sponsorship commitment will help provide Ana Julia Santos and her community with greater access to nutritious food and improved health care and hygiene. Your faithful support will assure that quality education is available to all school-age children. The local schools are being painted and repaired. Small-enterprise loans will help families start their own businesses. Through Bible studies, young ones and their parents will learn about God's love.
Dear Mr. Wong,
I want to personally thank you for your life-changing gift of $100 towards Myanmar Cyclone.
Your gift will be a blessing to children and families in need and will make a lasting difference in their lives.
Thank you and God bless you for making this generous impact in the lives of children!
Sincerely yours,
Dave Toycen

Dear Mr. Wong, On May 12th, two earthquakes, minutes apart, struck mainland China with such vicious force the resulting destruction is mind-boggling. The first measured 7.8 on the Richter scale, the second 3.9. and the human costs began climbing – more than 34,000 people feared dead, and over 245,108 injured, buried or missing. Mudslides and aftershocks blocked rivers, and heavy rains hampered road restoration making rescue work more difficult and dangerous. Still, as the media has well-documented, efforts continued to save those who survived and find those who did not. With your donation, you have been part of these efforts and those that will follow. Thank you for joining with us on this disaster response.

Dear Mr. Wong, Cyclone Nargis, a category four storm struck Myanmar on May 2nd, and with winds of over 190 kph inflicted over 10 hours of punishing devastation as it ripped though the delta city of Yangon (estimated population 6 million). It left behind over 23,000 deaths, 42,000 missing and over 1.5 million people affected. On behalf of the hundreds of thousand who are still trying to come to terms with worst storm to hit their homeland since 1991, thank you for your compassion and kindness.
